Acey_Deucey, v1.30 HISTORY! File by Dotoran
============================================================================
-- v1.30 --
- Update Release: October 12, 1996.
- Just going through some of the older files, cleaning them up and
re-releasing them for use on the newer versions of CNet(4.24 as of
this writing).
- Bug fixes:
- The "default color" was being slightly miscalculated as the color
one LESS than your actual color(ie: if light cyan was the default,
light purple would be used instead).
- Changes, additions, etc:
- Put a newer error check routine and carrier check routine inside.
- Replaced numerous MCI cursor movement commands with more concise
ANSI equivalents.
- Added a tri-state variable to the beginning of the coding that
lets the SysOp choose WHAT will be LOST during this game. You can
choose to let your users lose NOTHING or an amount of GAME POINTS,
or a number of MINUTES of time(or to GAIN one of these if they are
a good player.
- Tightened up the code by removing extraneous spaces and other
unneeded characters(like usages of || when they weren't needed).
- Replaced the rest of the "delay do-loops" with calls to DELAY(),
so as not to eat processor time in the process.
-- v1.2 --
- Bug Fix Release: March 13, 1994.
- Thanks to Hit Man of The Hideout BBS for showing me these bugs:
- When the HUMAN was dealt an ACE as their first card, the file
was NOT correctly choosing the human's choice of Low/High.
- When anyone was dealt two cards that were either equal or that
were within 1 of each either(like 3 and 4), the player will now
only lose their ANTE, and not their BET as well.
-- v1.1 --
- Updated February, 1994.
- Numerous areas received attention to bring this file "up to grade" for
the advent of the new CNet Amiga, v3.0. Updates included:
- Newer random number routines.
- Better error and carrier checking.
- Some MCI/ANSI coding was cleaned up, so as to be a bit faster.
- MCI codes updated to the newer Control-Y/Q variety.
- Now uses the DELAY() function for pauses, so as not to tie
up processor time needlessly.
-- v1.0 --
- Written February, 1990.
- My first MAJOR ANSI work, written under my older pseudonym name of
"The Marshal" (A carry-over from my Commodore 128 days!)
